      <image:title>BootstrapTax - Hey, I'm Joe.</image:title>
<image:caption>As a licensed CPA, I’ve spent more than ten years in the tax and accounting world, working with private companies, public accounting firms, musicians, real estate agents, million-dollar ventures, pre-revenue startups, and more. The word “bootstrap” gets thrown around a lot with people who speak startup lingo, but the reason I chose it for our firm name is more personal. You may have heard the phrase “pull yourself up by your bootstraps.” It’s a phrase that communicates effort, competence, and self-reliance. So in my mind, bootstrapping is the essence of making a living that works for you. The best parts of my accounting career have been spent making relationships with Bootstrappers, helping them navigate the craziness of the tax world. It’s important to me, especially now, to do what I can so people have a shot at doing what they love, on their terms.</image:caption>
